Why I love Positano?

Positano cliffside village

a picture is worth a thousand words”

Five months ago, we flew  again to Italy to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary.  We chose Positano for  three reasons: magical view, sophisticated atmosphere, and mouthwatering dishes.

Here is a short clip of my trip for a detailed guide.

What is special about Positano?

Positano is a lively and luxurious town located  in the west side of Amalfi Coast. According to an article I have read recently, it was still a popular destination of celebrities. Seeing it in person made me understand why. We actually stayed in Praiano  and we rode the local bus called Mobility Amalfi Coast Bus to get to Positano.

Five minutes before we reached our destination, we had the glimpse of the  kaleidosocpic cliffside village.  Everyone in the bus put out their cameras and phones trying to make a perfect shot despite the nerve-racking bus ride- Yes, probably the only thing I didn’t enjoy.

There were ceramic displays and art galleries everywhere we look. We also saw chic boutiques selling perfumes, linen clothing and of course, LEMONS! People were fashionably dressed- straw hats, floral outfits, chinos & linen shirts to kaftan and flirty bikinis down the beach. Such a cosmopolitan environment.

What to eat in Positano?

I’m sure most of you are familiar with Italian cuisine: pizza, pasta. Of course, gelato! But here in the south, most restaurants specialty are seafood. In the menus, I often saw Fish of the Day with side dish of your choice (which means fish freshly caught by the fishermen on that day). It is a MUST to try these dishes!

Thank you for making time reading my story. Let’s all make memories around the world!
